Ariose and ChandraTala present: Songbirds and Legacies

When ChandraTala was founded in 2019, one of the first things we planned to do was to perform together with Ariose Women’s Choir. The COVID-19 pandemic had other plans for choral singers, and instead, we collaborated throughout the pandemic through co-commissioning (via the Sonic Timelapse Project), shared virtual workshops, and a shared virtual rehearsal. In June 2022, ChandraTala and Ariose Women’s Choir were finally able to perform together live in June 2022! It was a wonderful concert, featuring contemporary choral works by female composers alongside older traditional works for upper-voices.
