Commissioned by Canadian Centennial Choir for their 50th Anniversary Gala; Marg Stubington, conductor. This is a 5-movement work in French and English incorporating a Quebec Chanson by Diane Boudreau; and texts by Ernestine Northover, Robert Wadsworth Lowry, and Marjorie Pickthall. In 2018 the Canadian Chamber Choir, under the direction of Dr. Julia Davids, commissioned a new edition with bass clarinet replacing the original bassoon, as well as an edition for piano and choir. A recording of this new instrumental edition is available on CCC’s 2019 album, Seasons of Life and Landscape. This piece is a 5-movement work in French and English incorporating a Quebec Chanson by Diane Boudreau; and texts by Ernestine Northover, Robert Wadsworth Lowry, and Marjorie Pickthall.
